Records Blanquinegres: The captain's armband from VCF Femenino's first game
The VCF Femenino was formed in 2009, as a result of an agreement between the VCF Foundation and the DSV Colegio Alemán German school in Valencia.
As fate would have it, the first official match that the team played was a derby against Levante UD Femenino, in Tarongers, on September 6th, 2009. The result was 0-2 to the away team, but the match itself was a milestone for the club.
The VCF Foundation's Heritage and Museum Departament have conserved objects linked to the young history of VCF Femenino. Among them is the captain's armband worn by Arantxa Lozano in that derby.
The starting 11 of the VCF Femenino team that day was: Arantxa Lozano, Cristina Estévez, Ivana Andrés, Creu Ferrer, Gemma Gili, Nuria Masiá, Marta Mateos, María Ortí, Carmen Pitarch, Estela Ríos and Ana Torrentí. Óscar Suárez was the coach.
